See Mail - LAN, Novell, & MCI E-Mail System:- Version 1.4 Feb, 1993
<<< Available for download from PCVENB, LIB 11, or ZNT:UTILFORUM, Lib 14. >>>
New release highlights:
o Gives business integration for WordPerfect, xBase, 123, i.e. 'mail enabling'
See Mail's expert system calls any DOS app' & seamlessly swaps
data/files. Runs any DOS app' direct from E-Mail. See Mail can now be
used directly with your existing suite of DOS products.
o Particular attention has been paid to ensuring that all features are user
configurable and network aware. In sharp contrast to many other packages
See Mail stores only your mail files, and not an associated reference
database as well. This means faster mail access and more flexiblity in
creating, sharing and transfering mail, particularly with notebook
computers.
o The new "mail Previewing" feature is a productivity multiplier, allowing
you to handle high daily mail volumes with ease.
o See Mail's design is aimed chiefly at medium sized businesses whose users
need a complete system to leverage their commitment to E-Mail, not just a
simple low volume message passing product. The support for MCI Mail is
particularly extensive and because of this orientation, See Mail is well
received by people who need just a standalone MCI Mail system, or who
want to use MCI to provide WAN facilities between local sites, or globally
between offices in Europe and the USA. See Mail's built-in French and
German language options are important too.
Other features:
o Easy start dual mode menus - standard mode for intuitive mail options,
advanced mode for power E-Mail features.
o Advanced add-ons available - voice mail; time scheduling.
o Support for automatic mail encryption and compression.
o Users in 30 US States, & 10+ countries worldwide - English, French,
German built-in, toolkit available for others.
See Mail comes with a comprehensive 120+ page manual, and a complete set
of mail and address management tools. No additional software needed, works
on Novell as is, and any other DOS based LAN. Modem required for MCI features,
and support for shared modem across LAN (which can act as a FAX server).
Gnosis Inc is an official Novell Professional Developer, an MCI VAD program
developer, and ASP member company.
Requires: MS/DOS 3+, 286 PC + 640k RAM, either DOS Network, or Modem & MCI.
